ANOTHER TROLL WOODLAND
The twisted trees in Trollskogen nearby are now full of new green leaves, but the similar twisted trees in Trollskogen in Öland seemed to be living in a harsher condition. They are pine trees, surviving in poor soil and lashing winds from the sea. I'm always surprised to find such a zest for living of plants.

通称シイタケ屋（Torna Hällestad Lanthandel）へ買い物に行くついでにTrollskogenへ寄ってみたら、新緑がわっさわさでした。4月中旬に行ったときは影も形もなかった葉っぱが、わずか1.5ヶ月でこんなになりました。

ところで、5月中旬に行ったÖland（エーランド）にも「Trollskogen」がありました。まったく同じ名前の森。

こちらはÖlandのTrollskogenにあった松の木
倒木に見えるかもしれませんが、生きてます！

同じように幹や枝がクネクネと曲がっていて同じブナの木なのかと思いきや、こちらは、海岸沿いの不毛な土壌と海から吹き付けられる風に耐えつつがんばって生きている松の木だそうです。植物の生きる力、おそるべし。
