小人が暮らす魔法の森

"THE TROLL WOODLAND"
The name "Trollskogen" sounds just right, as the twists looked magical and I would easily believe that they were done by trolls if Swedes say so. As this is located very close to the "Shiitake shop" I patronize, I would love to visit there once in a while to see how the leaves would change the view.

Lund近郊大自然10選から、続きましては10番の「Trollskogen」です。いつも行く通称シイタケ屋（Torna Hällestad Lanthandel）のWebサイトでも紹介されている幻想的な森。ブナの木の一種の「Vresbok」という木が繁茂している場所です。英語では「Dwarf beech tree」とか「Spiral beech tree」とか「Twisted beech tree」とか呼ばれるらしい。日本語はよくわからない。

英語の名称から想像されるとおり、幹や枝がクネクネとねじれている稀有な木です。太い幹も細い枝もとにかくクネクネしていました。

スウェーデン語の「Trollskogen」は「The Troll Woodland」とか「The Troll’s Forest」とかいう意味です。Troll（小人）の魔法でねじれているとか、小人が暮らす魔法の森とか、そんな印象ですかねー。緑でいっぱいになった頃にまた行ってみます。
